Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess. She lived in San Diego, California. She went to the zoo everyday, got a balloon, and spent a lot of time looking at the baboons.

She met the baboon trainer, and they became best friends. They would meet and talk every day. They told each other all of their secrets. The baboon trainer was secretly a prince! The princess and the prince fell in love.

One day when the princess was at the zoo, there was a beautiful pink bouquet of flowers. In the pink flowers was a ring. The prince appeared and he asked the princess to marry him.

When she said yes, fireworks went up in the air and exploded!
The prince and the princess decided to get married in the zoo near the baboons. They even had a baboon be the ring bearer in their wedding. After they got married all of the people and baboons let balloons go off into the air! The prince and princess loved each other so much and continued to spend every afternoon at the zoo where they fell in love by the baboons.

Here is a story from one of my students:

There was once a random monkey, he lived with all his monkey brothers and monkey sisters. They lived in the big tree, in the center of Antarctica. Most monkeys don’t live in the cold weather, but these were special monkeys. They were Coconut Monkeys.
The random monkey’s name was Bob. Bob was the king of the monkeys. He swung from tree to tree as he pleased, and could do what ever he wanted. One day, Bob wanted to find a special monkey for Valentine’s Day, he wanted a monkey that was nice and sweet. So he started looking.
After searching for thirty days and thirty nights, he found Lulu monkey. Lulu was everything he wanted and more. She was pretty, nice, funny, and ran the monkey school. So he decided he would ask her to be his Valentine. But first, he wanted to get her some Monkey Flowers.
When he came back he asked her. She said yes and they lived happily ever after!

Here is another story from some of my 7th graders:

One day, a monkey named Dino saw a very pretty Spanish monkey named Juanita that he loved. He wanted to marry this very special monkey. So he bought flowers, balloons, and a ring and went over to her house. He played her favorite Spanish monkey song. It was monkey love at first banana. She was so happy and she said, “Si.” They decided to get married that very day. They were so in love even though the monkey couldn’t understand his wife. MONKEY+MONKEY= LOVE FOREVER!! <3

This is a story from some of my 7th graders:

It’s about a monkey who loves to ride balloons, but he can’t because he is a monkey. He loves flowers so he strapped flowers to the balloons. He was so happy that he set off fireworks. Then he married a Mexican music band because he was so happy.

    Makenna and Zoe

A long time ago there was a monkey named Fernando. Sparks flew when he met a beautiful chica named Sheila. When he saw Sheila, he let go of a balloon because his love for her was out of this world. Fernando was a very romantic monkey, but he was also a little stupid. He proposed to Sheila with a beautiful diamond ring two seconds after he met her. Lucky for Fernando though, Sheila was from Florida and monkeys from Florida weren’t very smart. She accepted right away. She new that her love for him would never go away and that she would never change her mind about Fernando. Fernando got her flowers everyday just to show his love for her. They lived happily ever after working on the International Pink and Orange Flower Farm for Monkeys, enjoying the fireworks and each other.

In Spain, there was an explosion so great, it knocked the queen’s diamond ring off her finger and it fell into the most poisonous of wild flowers. A monkey saw the diamonds and tried to get it from the wild flower. He tied himself to a ton of balloons so he could float above the wild flowers. He had too many balloons and floated away with into the sky. She saw the monkey and yelled love you for trying to get her ring.
